Young Professionals Experience at CREC​

   

Claire Woodrow

Claire is the newest intern at CREC, where she is focusing on the Cost of Living Index and the State Business Incentives Database. She has also helped with marketing CREC and is involved in assorted research projects. Her interests lie in advancing regional economies across the United States.

As a current Master of Science student in Public Policy & Management with a specialization in Data Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University, her coursework has allowed her to build on her previous analytical and technical skills while giving her the opportunity to address complex policy challenges through data-driven solutions.

Fun facts: she can play the baritone horn and sings in an a cappella group.

Colin Powell

Colin Powell joined the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness Team in January 2025. He assists researchers on a mix of projects and data products including the State Business Incentives Database, Cost of Living Index and Credential Engine.

Colin is a current graduate student at George Washington University pursuing his Master of Science in Applied Economics. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics from Saint Joseph’s University.

Fun facts: Colin is a USA hockey certified instructor/coach for children and adults and plays in 3 adult hockey leagues in the area. He was also named after a former U.S. Secretary of State and Four Star General.
